The meaning of Xu & Yi
The name Shuyi carries the spirit of two Chinese characters. Xu (旭) is the first light of dawn — soft, certain and full of promise. Yi (毅) is quiet fortitude: strength that endures rather than shouts. Together they describe the jewelry we believe in — radiant without noise, strong without weight.

Our story begins in Qingdao, China, a coastal city with decades of fine jewelry craftsmanship. Twenty-five years of making pieces for demanding markets taught us a simple truth: the jewelry people keep for life is almost never the loudest.
